The Pool of Tears

"`You ought to be ashamed of yourself,' said Alice, `a great girl like you,' ( she might well say this), `to go on crying in this way! Stop this moment, I tell you!' But she went on all the same, shedding gallons of tears, until there was a large pool all round her, about four inches deep and reaching half down the hall."

We're thinking of constructing our very own pool of tears in the bathroom in Wonderland House. And we think the print above would set the tone very nicely.

The paper raindrop decoration comes in sets of three, so to achieve the effect above, we're going to have to buy several sets. (Or maybe we could make some ourselves.) We think they'd be gorgeous in front of the bathroom window.

Now, this is the neat bit. Having got hold of the splash mirror, we're going to place it flat, either on top of the low chest or on the bathroom counter, to represent the pool which Alice cried.

We might add some of these tear-like gems - maybe in a dish or a teacup.

Then we'll put this miniature garden next to the 'pool' to represent the bank, and our pool of tears is done.

(And we might just treat ourselves to this rhinestone necklace - just because)

Once our pool of tears is assembled all we have to do is wait for the animals to turn up and fall into it. (We suspect there may be some along tomorrow...)
